Description
Defend your crops from debilitating sucking pests with Hifield Imigro®, a professional-grade systemic insecticide containing Imidacloprid 17.8% SL. Formulated as a highly stable soluble liquid, this neonicotinoid solution is engineered for high bio-availability and rapid plant uptake.
Sucking pests often colonize the undersides of leaves or hide deep within dense crop canopies, making them difficult to control with standard contact sprays. Hifield Imigro solves this challenge through its excellent systemic properties. Once applied, the active ingredient quickly enters the plant’s vascular network, distributing itself upward and outward to form an internal defensive shield that eliminates target insects when they attempt to feed.
Key Benefits & Features
-
Comprehensive Systemic Movement: Absorbs rapidly via foliar surfaces or root zones and translocates acropetally (upward), ensuring that new vegetative flushes are protected as the plant grows.
-
Targeted Sucking Pest Control: Highly effective against a wide array of destructive sap-feeding insects that cause leaf curling, yellowing, and vector transmission of viral diseases.
-
Dual Action (Contact & Stomach): Works efficiently upon direct contact with the spray droplets or through ingestion when insects consume treated plant sap.
-
Extended Residual Protection: Binds securely within the internal cellular structure of the plant, protecting the active molecules from environmental weathering and UV breakdown.
-
Low Dosage Efficiency: Offers exceptional crop safety and dependable pest suppression at economical, low-volume application rates.
Mode of Action
Hifield Imigro® operates by targeting the central nervous system of susceptible insect species. The active ingredient, Imidacloprid, acts as a Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor (nAChR) Agonist. It binds selectively to the post-synaptic nicotinic receptors in the insect’s brain and nervous pathways, mimicking the natural neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Because the insect’s enzymes cannot break down Imidacloprid, the receptors remain permanently stimulated. This causes a continuous firing of electrical impulses, leading to immediate nervous system excitation, severe convulsions, complete neuromuscular paralysis, and eventual mortality.
Target Crops & Controlled Pests
This versatile systemic formulation is highly recommended across diverse agricultural, horticultural, and plantation cropping systems:
-
Cotton: Provides exceptional control against Aphids, Jassids, Thrips, and Whiteflies.
-
Paddy (Rice): Effectively targets destructive Brown Plant Hoppers (BPH) and Green Leaf Hoppers (GLH).
-
Vegetables (Chilli, Tomato, Brinjal, Okra): Manages Thrips, Aphids, Whiteflies, and Leafhoppers to prevent virus transmission.
-
Fruit Orchards (Mango, Citrus, Grapes): Controls Mango Hoppers, Mealybugs, Citrus Psylla, and Thrips complexes.
-
Sugarcane: Targets early-stage sucking pests such as Termites and Black Bugs.
Application Guidelines & Dosage
For optimal field results, apply Hifield Imigro at the early appearance of pest populations or when regional economic thresholds (ETL) indicate an impending outbreak.
-
Recommended Dosage: Mix 0.75 ml to 1 ml of Hifield Imigro per liter of water, depending on the targeted pest complex and crop maturity.
-
Application Method: Apply as a uniform foliar spray using clean water with a neutral pH. Ensure complete coverage of the crop canopy.
-
Best Practices: Apply during the early morning or late afternoon when wind speeds are minimal to reduce spray drift and optimize stomatal absorption.
-
Tank Compatibility: Compatible with most standard, non-alkaline fungicides, insecticides, and foliar nutrients. Avoid tank mixing with highly alkaline materials like lime-sulfur or copper mixtures, which can degrade the active compound.
