Mode of Action

Counter® Plus works by targeting the internal cellular structure of fungal pathogens. The active ingredient, Hexaconazole, operates as a Sterol Demethylation Inhibitor (DMI). Once inside the fungal system, it selectively disrupts the biosynthesis of ergosterol—the critical lipid molecule required to construct and maintain fungal cell walls. Without ergosterol, cell wall synthesis stops, causing the membranes to leak and rupture. This successfully halts the growth, expansion, and reproductive capabilities of the invading fungus.

Application Guidelines & Dosage

• Recommended Dosage: Mix 1 ml to 2 ml of Counter Plus per liter of water, depending on the severity of the disease pressure and crop type.

• Application Method: Apply as a uniform foliar spray. Ensure the spray equipment is calibrated to provide a fine mist that covers both the upper and lower surfaces of the leaves.
